Cadnant Planning, an independent town planning consultancy based in Conwy and Chester, are looking for a Planner with a proven track record working on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, tourism, retail, rural/agricultural and regeneration. Geographically, we have projects across North Wales and Cheshire covering both the public and private sector and specialise in providing market leading planning and development advice, which is realistic and commercially focused.
The Planner will be joining a small sized team with a number of key projects currently at the beginning of the process.
You can expect a high level of client interaction including attending client site meetings and offering expert advice and guidance where required. To work independently as required, and as part of a team alongside a Senior Planner and Director on residential, commercial, retail, tourism, rural/agricultural, and mixed-use projects across North Wales and Cheshire. The role will allow you to work in various aspects of the market including preparation and submission of planning applications, site appraisals, planning appeals, site promotion/local plan representations and public engagement.
The Planner will hold a minimum of two years town planning experience and hold a relevant degree and/or post graduate qualification in a recognised discipline. Very good/expert knowledge of local and national planning legislation and regulations is essential. Residential and commercial experience from the private sector is highly desirable but not essential. The Planner will hold full membership of the RTPI or be in the process of doing so. A positive and pro-active approach is essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
