New holiday units on land at TÅ· Mawr, Cae Sgubor, Eglwysbach

Cadnant Planning Ltd has been commissioned by GJ & CW Davies to undertake a pre-application consultation (PAC) in respect of proposed development on land at TÅ· Mawr, Esgairebrill, Eglwysbach, Conwy, LL28 5UN.

GJ & CW Davies is intending to apply for full planning permission for the change of use of land for the erection of five holiday units with associated works, including creation of vehicular access, creation of an internal access road and parking areas, engineering works and landscaping.

Prior to formal submission to the Local Planning Authority and in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 1A of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2016, the proposal will be subject to pre-application consultation.
 

ABOUT THE APPLICATION

TÅ· Mawr is a working grassland beef cattle farm located on the outskirts of the village of Eglwysbach. In 2022, the farm will celebrate 100 years and four generations under the same ownership. In order to support the long-term sustainability of the farming enterprise, it is proposed to diversify the farms income by introducing tourist accommodation which would sit alongside the agricultural element of the business.

This proposal relates to a full planning application the change of use of land for the erection of five holiday units as a farm diversification scheme together with associated works including the creation of a new vehicular access, creation of internal access road and parking areas, engineering works and landscaping on land at TÅ· Mawr, Cae Sgubor, Eglwysbach. The proposed development incorporates four one-bed and one two-bed holiday units into the scheme with the proposed holiday pods being constructed in such a manner that they look like they have been built into the side of the hill.
