Development of new leisure complex at Golden Gate Holiday Centre, Towyn
Cadnant Planning Ltd has been commissioned by SF Parks Ltd to undertake a pre-application consultation (PAC) in respect of proposed development on Golden Gate Holiday Centre, Towyn Road, Towyn, Abergele, LL22 9HU.
We give notice that SF Parks Ltd is intending to apply for full planning permission for a development of a high-quality leisure complex providing indoor leisure activities in the form of a bowling alley, roof-top bar, extended arcade, relocation of reception and admin offices in order to centralise the operation and customer experience at Golden Gate Holiday Centre together with associated works.
Prior to formal submission to the Local Planning Authority and in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 1A of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2016, the proposal will be subject to pre-application consultation.

The proposal includes the development of a state of the art leisure complex which could be used by visitors staying at Golden Gate Holiday Centre as well as members of the public.
The development would comprise of a high-quality leisure complex providing indoor leisure activities in the form of a 6-lane bowling alley, roof-top bar, extended arcade, relocation of reception and admin offices in order to centralise the operation and customer experience at Golden Gate Holiday Centre.
Permission has previously been granted for the alterations, extensions and refurbishment of Club House Building to also provide swimming pool and climbing wall at Golden Gate. The proposed development would overlap with the climbing wall previously approved, which would not be constructed. The children’s indoor play area and swimming pool area already in place with the permission implemented.
The proposed leisure complex would lead to the loss of 12 static caravan pitches at Golden Gate, reducing the overall number of pitches from 512 to 500.
