Rhys has 30 years experience in planning both in the public and private sectors. His experience in the private sector has included consultancy roles with national multi-disciplinary consultancies and on the client-side as National Head of Planning for the Co-operative Group, achieving value enhancing consents throughout the UK. 

 

Native of North Wales but with experience of the planning system throughout the UK. He has acted as lead planning consultant on a number of EIA projects, National Infrastructure Projects, renewable energy developments, large scale agricultural developments along with a wide range of tourism related projects, including new visitor attractions, new lodge and caravan parks and extensions to existing parks.

Rhys has secured housing allocations and planning permission on a number of housing sites throughout England and Wales. 

 

Working from our Chester and Conwy offices Rhys has experience and excellent understanding of the planning system in England and Wales and can guide you through the planning system from start to finish. 

 

He has extensive experience of presenting cases at Public Inquiry and has represented clients on planning issues through the Courts.

 

Applying his 30 years’ experience of the planning system Rhys endeavours to work positively with clients and Local Planning Authorities to ensure that projects have the best prospect of being steered through the planning system utilising cost-effective and innovative solutions.
